Our hands and hearts have been full in raising these puppies! This past week though has made us sure it’s time for the puppies to move onto new adventures. The puppies are now into cooperative play. I think they may be hatching a plan to re-create the Tower of Babel; it’s time to scatter them. 😂. With the rain forcing the puppies to stay inside our home most of the time, it feels like we are living in 101 Dalmatians. And they are burgeoning to get out and experience new things!
All puppies were vet checked last Friday with an all-good report, and they’ve been dewormed and received their first set of vaccines. They are ready for their new homes.
We’re excited for the adventures our new families have in store for their puppies and hope all the best for everyone to experience long healthy years together. We sent our own puppy’s DNA swab off to Embark a couple of weeks ago to get all of the stats on Gloria‘s genetics. I’m happy to report we just found out that she, like her mother, has a fully clear genetics panel. (You can view it here if you want to http://embk.me/gloriainexcelsisdeo?utm_campaign=cns_ref_dog_pub_profile&utm_medium=other&utm_source=embark ). It was fun setting up the breeding for this litter to have theoretical health advantages. It is even more rewarding to see that advantage confirmed for our puppy through an objective test! If anyone is interested in DNA testing for their dog, we highly recommend Embark as they are the most comprehensive and they are compiling a massive research database to improve the lives, welfare, and future of dogs everywhere.
To the new families of a Bennett Golden, thank you for choosing us! We hope that the puppy you are making a new family member will be a deep and wide blessing in your life!
From my family to yours,
God bless
